Our nursery is Ideally structured for Open plan learning, Star Kids provides a structure that encourages children to reach their full potential by providing a layout that allows our toddlers and pre-school to interact with each other during fun role plays but yet having access to their own private space and take part in their own age-related planned activities.
Our beautiful baby rooms offers a sensorial experience, equipped with stimulating and engaging opportunities, babies will enjoy the colourful environment that will stimulate their interests.
Nursery
The Pre-School provides a stimulating, active and responsive atmosphere, full of excitement and challenge, with a supportive and encouraging minimum adult/child ratio of 1-4 for 2-3 year olds and 1-8 for over 3’s.
Pre-School
The nursery benefits from excellent outdoor facilities and large open plan rooms. All rooms are monitored by CCTV. We invite parents to watch this from the reception area to ensure their little one has settled.

After School Club
Our out of school club runs from 3pm until 6pm and caters for children aged 4 years to 11 years old.
When the children arrive at the club setting, they are offered a light tea, before participating in any of the various activities on offer.
Regular pastimes include computers, arts and crafts, sports, board games, drama, sewing, baking, music and dance. A quiet area is provided for those children who wish to make a start on their homework or relax and read a book.

What do I need to provide for my child’s day at Nursery?
Change of clothing (including underwear), nappies and wipes, nappy cream, bottle or sachets of calpol, pair of slippers, sun hat, wellies, woolly hat, scarf, coat (weather dependent)
What about sun lotion?
We offer Nursery sun lotion, which is a factor 50 plus, sensitive skin waterproof brand. We offer this at £1 per year. Alternatively you could provide your own which staff will apply before outside play.
What if I need someone else to collect my child?
This is not a problem although please inform us as soon as possible. A password system will be set up if we have not met the person before.
How will I know and find out how my child is getting on?
The child’s key person will keep an up to date record on your child’s progress they will share this information with you regularly using our online capture system, we will hold regular parent evenings to discuss child’s progress. At the end of each session staff members will talk you through your child’s day sharing vital information such as what your child has eaten, if they have had a sleep, drinks etc…
What happens if I collect my child late?
We understand this can happen as some things are out of our control such as traffic or appointments running over. We ask for you to let us know if this is going to happen as soon as you are aware. It is not a problem once or twice but if this becomes regular you will be charged for any extra hours at our normal hourly rate.
